Mad Fried Shrimp
The one thing you need to watch out for (no, not the heat, youâre used to that â right?) is making enough to feed everyone who will be around to snag as many pieces as possible. This recipe serves 4 as itâs written. If you have more to feed, why not double the recipe â or at least the amount of Mad Dog beyond the heat points of mere mortals. (Youâll thank us for that suggestion when you get a taste of this delicious recipe.)
Ingredients:
2-3 tablespoons Mad Dog 357 Original Hot Sauce
2 cups Buttermilk
2 cups all-purpose flour
Âź cup Cornmeal
1 tablespoon Baking powder
2 tablespoons ground black pepper
1 tablespoons Salt
2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
Vegetable oil, for frying
Preparation
minutes per batch, then remove from the oil with a slotted spoon and then drain on the prepared baking sheet.
Serve hot.
Golden Cheese and Chorizo Empanadas

You will need:
1 pound Chorizo, finely diced
1 cup grated Monterrey jack cheese
1 teaspoon each: Cumin, Smoked paprika
2 Refrigerated pie crusts, softened
1 egg, beaten
Oven preheated to 400°F
Baking sheet lined with parchment paper
Preparation
Combine the Mad Dog 357 Gold Edition Hot Sauce with the chorizo, cheese, and spices. Set
aside.
Roll out the pie crusts until you can cut 12 3â rounds from each (for 24 total empanadas). Scoop small spoonfuls of the filling into the center of each round, moisten the edges with water, fold over the filling to create half-circles and press edges together. Place on baking sheet and continue with the remaining rounds. Brush empanadas with the beaten egg. Place in oven and bake for 15 minutes until golden (inside and out).
