We believe that the small choices we make every day really can make a difference, and what could be more ‘everyday’ than toilet paper! We want to make it easier for people to make sustainable choices by offering alternatives that are good for the planet, without compromising comfort and style.
Most luxury toilet tissue is made from virgin tree pulp. According to the National Geographic, around 27,000 trees are literally flushed down the toilet every day. For this reason, we choose not to use trees in our tissue production, and we plant a tree for every Bumboo box purchased, through our buy 1 plant 1 initiative with Eden Reforestation Projects.
100% Plastic Free
We looked at a range of plastic free packaging options for our toilet rolls and opted for bulk packed individually wrapped rolls based on the fact that they use less paper by weight than paper bags (eg. paper bag holding 4 rolls weighs 17g versus 4 x paper wrappers at 13g)
Why we use 100% bamboo
Recycled paper offers a sustainable alternative to virgin tree pulp paper, but is inevitably inferior in terms of quality and feel due to the compromised integrity of the recycled fibres. Bamboo offers a sustainable alternative that combines the softness of a virgin fibre without the heavy environmental cost of tree based paper.

Bamboo is a naturally resilient plant that requires no pesticides or fertilisers if responsibly grown. Suitable for sensitive skin, we minimise toxins further by not adding fragrance, softening agents or any other artificial product enhancers, to keep bumboo as natural and skin-friendly as possible. From recycling the water during the production process to using gentle tissue bleaching techniques, we are always monitoring our impact and looking for ways to improve whilst supporting the planet.
