How did we get our start?
The island of Vava’u in the Kingdom of Tonga was nearly washed away by Cyclone Waka in 2002. Heilala is a labor of love and a partnership between a New Zealand and a Tongan family. Beyond environmental sustainability, Heilala is building a stable, long-term industry for Tongan’s, redefining corporate-social responsibility to transform their futures.
