As a professional chef to athletes in the NBA, NFL, and WBNA, a mother to two kids with a rare genetic cancer disease, and a living kidney donor herself, our founder Chef Kirsten Sandoval couldn’t find healthy convenience products on the market in inclusive flavors that fit all of her needs.
She knew there was a way we could have it all: convenient blends that work as hard as we do, globally-inspired flavors that invite everyone to the table, quality ingredients that boost flavor AND nutrition, variety, versatility, and above all GREAT taste.
So, she went out and created them for her clients, and now we are sharing them with you!
Simple Ingredients, Complex Flavors, Vibrant Culinary Inspiration
Like cooking from scratch – no special skills, ingredients or equipment on hand.
Unlike most cooking sauces that are cooked to death before you even open the bottle, our sauces are minimally cooked during the bottling process so when you open the bottle and pour our blends into the pan, it’s like cooking from scratch with farm-grown ingredients- without all the work!
Although you’ll find most other cooking and simmer sauces to be made with mostly just sugar, oil, salt, seasonings, gums and thickeners, Mesa de Vida’s nutritious blends are made with non-GMO fruits (dates, tomatoes, tamarind, etc.), vegetables (onion, roasted bell peppers, garlic, olives, carrots, etc.), spices (dried whole chilies, pure whole ground peppers, cumin, cinnamon, etc.), and herbs.
Plus, unlike most single-use cooking and simmer sauces, with Mesa de Vida’s sauces you’re not locked into just one recipe – the recipe inspirations are endless!
