Product Description

Our WhistleStop Cafe Caboose Cobbler Mix has soared in popularity due to its great taste, ease of use, and its versatility. It is aā€ˆdelicate blend that blends well, enhances, yet allows the flavor of the Āfruits to come through. A delicious easy to use mix that can be used with almost any fruit. Creates a delightful country fruit dessert much like grandma’s cobbler, but without spending hours in the kitchen. It can be easily prepared using fresh or canned fruit. Great with Apples, Peaches, Pears, Cherries, Berries and even Pineapple. Makes a great coffee cake too! . . . just leave out the fruit. Bill and Mary Jo McMichael bought the Irondale Cafe in 1972 from Miss Bess Fortenberry, Fannie Flaggā€™s Great Aunt. It sat 36 people. Over the years word spread of the delicious home cooking at the little cafe next to the tracks in old Irondale, Alabama. They expanded to a capacity of over 220 with lines out the door. In 1986 Fannieā€™s novel ā€œFried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafeā€ came out, the cafe became know as the Original WhistleStop Cafe. The McMichael Family developed the now famous line of delicious mixes and seasoning in 1993 that are now sold in some chains and to over 2000 independents grocers and markets in 48 states. We get compliments from satisfied customers from all over the country. Hope you enjoy.
