Razor Edition RED
Razor Edition BLACK
With the Velcro and loop system there is no need for any big bulky buckles. This allows for maximum comfort and the freest range of motion with any movement. We again chose to use the 1.25in width for these occlusion wraps, knowing that this is the ideal width for upper body training. All of the details and the chosen materials for the Razor Ronin Wraps were included with functionality in mind β the Velcro and loop, the numbering system, the rigid material, and even the L and R on the bands to help signify which band is for which arm.
BFR Began in Japan
Yoshiaki Sato was 18 in 1966 when he accidentally stumbled upon the idea of occlusion training. After kneeling for a long period of time at a Buddhist ceremony, Sato’s leg muscles got swollen and numb due to the lack of circulation. Over the next 7 years he experimented with BFR with his resistance training using different pieces of equipment. At the age of 25, Sato had a skiing accident and fractured his ankle and damaged the ligaments in his knee. The doctors told him it would take up to six months to heal. With a plaster cast on his lower leg, Sato rehabilitated himself with Kaatsu Bands applied to his upper leg. He did isometric exercises on his injured leg for 30 seconds, on and off, three times a day. The doctors were shocked when his muscles did not atrophy and he fully recovered within six weeks!
Over the next 9 years, Sato conducted research and developed the protocols that worked best for people of all ages and with various kinds of afflictions. With the ongoing research and the wide variety of applications, occlusion training is quickly becoming a popular way to strengthen and rehabilitate the body without putting it under heavy stress and weight resistance.
“I think occlusion training is going to be the most widely beneficial training method β good for people from 12 years old to 80 and from elite athletes and law enforcement and military to stay-at-home moms and dads. There’s an application for every human on the planet with this.”

Who can benefit from BFR Training?
Blood flow restriction training can be utilized in so many different areas of strength training. From professional and Olympic athletes, to bodybuilders, and even physical therapists are using it to help rehabilitate their patients. BFR has even been used with injured war veterans to help them recover their muscle mass without lifting heavy weights, preventing full atrophy and even amputation in some cases.
