How Did We Get Our Start?
Back in the mid-1990s, our founder Bill Whyte worked as a carpenter. He worked hard, and so did his hands. They would often split and crack in the frigid New England winters. One night, seeking a soothing solution, he mixed up some beeswax and olive oil to create a simple herbal balm. It helped his hands so much, he decided to share it with everyone he knew – and the rest, as they say, is Badger history.

How to Apply Badger Mineral Sunscreens to your Baby
- Apply directly to the skin, rubbing it in to protect the entire area and reduce whitening.
- For full protection, reapply at least every 2 hours.
- To cover your entire body be sure to use about a shotglass-full for adults, less for children and babies. The phrase ‘a little bit goes a long way’ is not true of any sunscreen.

Is this clear zinc really clear, or is it still whitening? Is ‘clear zinc oxide’ nano or non-nano zinc oxide?
What is the difference between the baby, kids, and adult sunscreens? Can the kids be used on babies or adults?
They all have the same 4 base ingredients (zinc oxide, sunflower, beeswax, vitamin e) but the baby also has chamomile & calendula for calming, and the kids has tangerine & vanilla for a fun smell. All Badger sunscreens work great on anyone of any age
Is this sunscreen gluten free / non-comedogenic / hypoallergenic?
Yes. All Badger sunscreens are Certified Gluten Free. This product is also Certified Non-Comedogenic (won’t clog pores) and Hypoallergenic (great for sensitive skin).
Does this sunscreen contain any PABA or oxybenzone? Is the vitamin E derived from soy?
No, you will never find any synthetic chemicals in any Badger sunscreens. The vitamin E is derived from sunflower, not soy, and it provides super-antioxidant benefits for your skin.
Can this sunscreen be used on your face? Does it protect from both uva and uvb rays?
Yes. This product makes a great face sunscreen or body sunscreen. The mineral zinc oxide provides full broad spectrum protection from uva and uvb rays.
